Wildlife

I have spent a good deal of time during  2006 and  2007,
photographing the wildlife around Lesvos -
wild flowers, butterflies, and other fauna including a few large, slow-moving, birds.
(the smaller, faster ones are beyond my ageing reaction speeds,
 so I leave them to the multitude of visiting twitchers)

Please note that I am no kind of naturalist - most of the identifications come not
from knowledge but from scouring various field guides,
sometimes, in the case of the flowers, fruitlessly.

So if you can identify anything that I couldn't,
or if I've got anything wrong, as I'm sure I have in many cases,
please let me know.
